Modern Warfare 3′s Official Online Code Of Conduct Posted

Activision's Call of Duty developers have never been shy about denying players access to the online portion of the game when they act like jerks, by cheating, boosting, hacking or being just plain, old meanies. Those bans are actually governed by a set of internally established guidelines, which Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling shared in a post to the Call of Duty forums earlier today. The Modern Warfare 3 Online Code of Conduct breaks possible offenses down into six separate categories: Boosting, Cheating, Glitching, Hacking, Offensive Behavior and Offensive Gamertag. Offending players risk incurring anything from a stats reset to a leaderboard or multiplayer ban. Some categories have an escalating series of punishments for first, second and third offenses. Hacking is not tolerated at all, however; any confirmed hacker will have his or her console immediately and permanently banned. But hey, I'll make this real easy. Don't cheat, don't be an ass. Then you won't have to worry about any of this! Source: CallOfDuty.com Read more...
